Brouwerij Alvinne is a Belgian craft brewery founded in 2004 by Davy Spiessens and Glenn Castelein, who had previously honed their skills as homebrewers at 'De Proefzolder' in Ingelmunster, Belgium. The brewery is based in Moen, in the West Flanders province, and has grown from passionate homebrewing roots into one of Belgium's most distinctive and internationally recognised craft operations. From the very beginning, founder Glenn Castelein combined traditional craftsmanship with an authentic and creative approach to brewing. Alvinne is particularly known for its adventurous portfolio of barrel-aged and mixed-fermentation beers. The brewery regularly works with wine barrels — including red wine and Sauternes white wine barrels — to produce complex, layered beers such as Belgian Quadrupels and Flanders Oud Bruin. Sour ales, oak-aged specialities and experimental styles form the backbone of their range, showcasing a deep passion for fermentation and flavour development. Alvinne has built a strong reputation in the international craft beer community, collaborating with breweries such as De Struise Brouwers, Magic Rock, Beavertown and Naparbier. Their beers are distributed internationally, including through the United International portfolio, and the brewery has taken part in tours and events in the Netherlands and beyond, further cementing its status as a leading name in Belgian artisan brewing.
