Brouwerij Troost is an Amsterdam-based craft brewery, founded in 2013. The brewery quickly established itself as one of the serious independent brewing operations in the Dutch capital, earning recognition alongside fellow Amsterdam breweries such as Brouwerij 't IJ and Oedipus. One of its notable locations is the Westergasfabriek, a repurposed industrial site in Amsterdam, where the brewery operates a taproom and brews its beers on-site. The name is tied to the Cornelis Troostplein, reflecting the brewery's deep roots in the city's neighbourhoods. Brouwerij Troost produces a portfolio of ten house beers, covering a range of accessible yet well-crafted styles including a Pilsner, Extra Wit, IPA, and Tripel. All beers are brewed on location, and the brewery also takes on contract brewing for smaller producers, such as Ouderkerks Goud, who develop recipes on homebrewing equipment before having them produced at Troost in small batches. The brewery has gained recognition on an international level, appearing among the winners at the European Beer Challenge 2024. Troost has also collaborated with cultural institutions in Amsterdam — the Amsterdam Museum selected a Troost New England IPA as its official house beer.
