Brouwerij De Natte Gijt was a craft brewery based in Weert, in the southern Dutch province of Limburg. The brewery was part of the growing wave of independent Dutch craft breweries and built up a loyal following among Belgian beer enthusiasts over the course of its existence. After eleven years of brewing, the brewery announced it was closing its doors, marking the end of a celebrated chapter in Limburg's craft beer scene. De Natte Gijt was known for producing a range of specialty beers that reflected both Dutch brewing traditions and contemporary craft influences. Among the beers associated with the brewery are Hop met de Gijt, a hop-forward ale, and Stoute Gijt, a stout showcasing the brewery's range across different styles. The brewery participated in Dutch craft beer festivals alongside well-known names such as Brouwerij de Molen and Kaapse Brouwers, underlining its standing within the Dutch independent brewing community. Despite its relatively modest size, De Natte Gijt earned recognition as a representative of Weert and Limburg on the Dutch craft beer map. Its beers were available through specialty beer webshops and featured in Dutch beer media. The closure of the brewery after eleven years was noted with regret by the Dutch craft beer community.
