Einbecker Brauhaus is one of Germany's most historically significant breweries, with documented origins dating back to 1378 in the city of Einbeck, Lower Saxony. The brewery is widely recognised as the birthplace of bockbier, a legacy that has shaped German brewing culture for centuries. After numerous mergers and renamings over the years, the modern Einbecker Brauhaus was formally established in 1967 as a public company, continuing a tradition of brewing that spans more than six hundred years. The brewery is particularly celebrated for its impressive portfolio of lagerbieren, with bock beers at the heart of its identity. Among its signature offerings are the Ur-Bock Hell, the Mai-Ur-Bock — a seasonal spring bock at 6.5% ABV — and a Mia-Ur-Bock, alongside a range of other styles including a Helles lager at 4.4% ABV, a Schwarzbier, and a Kellerbier. Each beer is brewed with a commitment to traditional German craftsmanship, precision, and quality. As the sole surviving brewery in the city of Einbeck, Einbecker Brauhaus holds a unique place in brewing history. It remains the original source of what became one of the world's most beloved beer styles, and continues to be distributed internationally, appearing in markets across Europe and the United States.
