Goose Island Brewery is an iconic craft brewery founded in Chicago, Illinois, with roots stretching back to a single brewpub in the Lincoln Park neighbourhood. In 1992, brewery operations expanded significantly when production moved from that original brewpub location to a dedicated brewery campus spanning two city blocks on the west side of Chicago. The Clybourn Brewhouse remains recognised as the original home of the brand, offering beer enthusiasts a direct connection to the brewery's founding story. In 2011, Goose Island was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev, a milestone that marked a turning point in the American craft beer landscape. Goose Island has built a reputation as a pioneer in barrel-aged beer, with craft beer fermented in oak barrels becoming a defining feature of its portfolio. The brewery's range spans a wide variety of styles, from classic IPAs to bold Imperial Stouts, making it one of the most diverse and recognised craft beer portfolios in the United States. Their dedication to barrel ageing in particular has helped set a benchmark for the craft beer industry nationwide. Despite the 2011 sale to AB InBev, Goose Island has maintained a prominent status among large national craft beer brands, continuing to grow its reach well beyond Chicago. The Clybourn Brewhouse has historically offered brewery tours, giving visitors an informative look at the brewing process and the stories behind the beers.
