Braxzz was an Amsterdam-based alcohol-free beer brand that operated from approximately 2016 to 2020. Founded with a clear mission to improve the taste profile of non-alcoholic beers, the brand positioned itself at the forefront of the then-emerging alcohol-free craft beer movement. Braxzz used vacuum distillation as part of its brewing process, a technique that allowed the team to carefully remove alcohol while preserving the flavour and character of the beer. The Braxzz portfolio focused entirely on alcohol-free and low-alcohol styles, setting itself apart from mainstream dealcoholised lagers. The range included an Orange IPA, a Rebel IPA, a Porter, and a Tripel, all brewed with an emphasis on genuine craft character. The Porter was notably recognised as the first fully alcohol-free porter in the world, while the brand also released what was claimed to be a world-first 0.2% Tripel, demonstrating a serious commitment to pushing the boundaries of alcohol-free brewing. Braxzz built a modest but dedicated following among mindful drinkers in the Netherlands and beyond, appearing at events such as the Mindful Drinking Festival and stocked by specialist retailers and cafés. Despite its pioneering reputation, the brand ceased operations around 2020, leaving behind a legacy as one of the early innovators in Dutch alcohol-free craft beer.
