Kaapse Brouwers

Kaapse Brouwers is an independent craft brewery founded in 2014 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Born from a passion for bold recipes and challenging flavour experiments, the brewery quickly established itself as one of the city's most distinctive brewing voices. Their deep connection to Rotterdam is reflected throughout their work, including in the names of their beers, which pay tribute to the city's rich harbour heritage. The brewery is housed in a former harbour shed, transformed into a true brewing paradise where craft beer comes to life. The brewery is known for its daring and varied portfolio, spanning a wide range of styles from seasonal bocks to double farmhouse ales and imperial red ales. Kaapse Brouwers embraces experimentation, regularly collaborating with other respected breweries such as De Molen to produce limited and special releases. Their eye-catching, vibrantly coloured cans have become a recognisable visual identity, matching the bold character of the beers inside. Among their well-regarded offerings is De Bok, a classic autumn bock beer sitting around 7% ABV, which has become a seasonal favourite. The brewery also hosts a taproom where visitors can enjoy the beers on-site, and regularly celebrates milestones such as their anniversary festival, inviting international breweries from the UK, Belgium, and beyond. Kaapse Brouwers has firmly positioned itself at the heart of Rotterdam's thriving craft beer scene.
