Kaapse Auguste BA 2023 is a barrel-aged saison from Kaapse Brouwers, the independent Rotterdam craft brewery known since 2014 for bold recipes and flavour experiments. This wine-cask-matured beer builds on Auguste, a saison brewed with fresh peach purée and named after chef Auguste Escoffier. Matured in red wine barrels, the 2023 edition gains vinous tannins and depth while retaining the fruity, spiced character of the base beer. Earthy peach, dry spice and wine-like elegance combine in a thoughtful take on the farmhouse ale tradition—a beer that rewards curiosity and rewards sipping.
