Griffin Claw Brewing Company is a craft brewery founded in Birmingham, Michigan, co-owned by Bonnie LePage and Mary Nicholson, whose husbands are also involved in the hospitality industry. The brewery operates out of two locations — Birmingham and Rochester Hills, Michigan — and has built a strong reputation on the Michigan craft beer scene since its founding. Committed to producing high-quality beer for everyone, Griffin Claw describes its philosophy as brewing for inclusion and striving to create a welcoming environment for all. The brewery offers a diverse portfolio of beers spanning a wide range of styles. Core brands include Norm's Raggedy IPA, an American IPA; Mr. Bluesky, an American Wheat Ale brewed with grapefruit peel; El Rojo, a Red Ale; and Conflict of Interest, a New England-style IPA. The range also ventures into more experimental territory, such as a Beechwood-Aged Pumpkin Peach Ale and the seasonal Screaming Pumpkin. Griffin Claw distributes its core beers in cans, chosen for their lightweight, cost-effective, and beer-preserving qualities. Norm's Raggedy IPA — named after founder Norm LePage — earned a Gold Medal at the prestigious World Beer Cup, cementing Griffin Claw's reputation as one of Michigan's standout craft breweries. With two taprooms and a loyal following across the state, Griffin Claw continues to be a leading name in Michigan craft brewing.
