Brouwerij De Beyerd is a brewery based in Breda, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. Founded in 2004, it was established on the very site where the historic brewery De Drie Hoefijzers once stood, giving it a direct connection to Breda's rich brewing heritage. The brewery makes use of the name, logo, and recipes of its local ancestral predecessor, honouring the long tradition of brewing in this southern Dutch city. The brewery is known for its diverse and adventurous portfolio. Among its notable achievements, Brouwerij De Beyerd became the first Dutch brewery to introduce a Schwarzbier — a dark lager style originating from eastern Germany — to the Netherlands. In collaboration with AB InBev, the brewery also brews Drie Hoefijzers Klassiek using the original yeast strain, keeping an important piece of Breda's brewing history alive. The brewery operates as a café-restaurant and taproom, offering visitors a hands-on experience of local craft beer culture. Brouwerij De Beyerd has become a well-known destination for beer lovers visiting Breda. Located at Boschstraat 26, the taproom hosts events including beer festivals, welcoming enthusiasts from across the Netherlands and beyond. Its combination of historical roots, innovative brewing, and lively hospitality makes it a standout name in the Dutch craft beer scene.
