Brouwerij De Beyerd in Breda crafts this classic German-style schwarzbier to its own recipe. It is a dark lager brewed with bottom-fermenting yeast, delivering a fresh and approachable character. Wheat malt and two aromatic hop varieties contribute citrus aromas and pleasant bitterness. Light roasting balanced with easy drinkability makes it a true thirst quencher. De Beyerd itself carries deep roots: where the brewery 'De Drie Hoefijzers' was founded on Boschstraat in 1628, the brewing craft returned in the 1970s. Now run by the sixth and seventh generations of the de Jongh family, the brewery uses copper kettles and open fermentation vessels to honour tradition.
