Us Heit, which translates from Frisian as 'Our Father', is a small family-owned brewery located in Bolsward, in the Dutch province of Friesland. Founded in 1985, the brewery operates under the full name De Friese Bierbrouwerij (The Frisian Beer Brewery). The name pays homage to the Frisian stadtholder Count Willem Lodewijk (1560–1620), who carried 'Us Heit' as his nickname. Since its founding, brewmaster Aart van der Linde has brewed with passion from the Snekerstraat in Bolsward, keeping the brewery firmly rooted in its Frisian identity. Us Heit specialises in craft specialty beers, brewing a range of eight different styles. Using traditional brewing techniques and quality ingredients, the brewery focuses on delivering beers of the highest quality. The portfolio reflects a commitment to craftsmanship that has remained consistent throughout the brewery's decades-long history. Alongside beer, the brewery also produces the Frisian herbal liqueur beerenburg and the whisky Frysk Hynder, though beer remains the core of its identity.
