
Oriel Beer is a craft brewery based in Bucharest, Romania, operating under the legal name Oriel Beer & More SRL. The brewery has been active since at least 2015, as reflected in its copyright records, and has steadily built a reputation as one of Romania's most ambitious and artisan-driven brewing operations. From the outset, Oriel Beer has positioned itself as a brewery that rewards patience — both in the brewing process and in the experience of tasting its beers. The portfolio at Oriel Beer draws heavily from Belgian brewing traditions, including Trappist-inspired styles such as quadrupels and tripels, as well as wild ales and barrel-aged specialties. The brewery works with a 500-liter kettle and multiple fermentation tanks, maintaining a small-batch, craft-focused approach. Barrel aging is a cornerstone of their philosophy, with beers matured in various types of wood, including barrels previously used for Romanian plum brandy — a nod to local heritage. Beers are typically available in 330ml bottles as well as on draft. Oriel Beer has earned notable recognition on the international stage. In 2019, the brewery was ranked 5th in a global top of 15 new brewers from around the world. They have also appeared among winners and nominees at the European Beer Challenge 2024. Highlights from their range include a Quadrupel aged in P.X. Sherry barrels, a wild ale called Cuvée Persica aged 17 months on oak, and the long-matured Cuvée Hector, a barrel-aged beer three years in the making.
