Blanche de Bruges is a Belgian witbier with deep roots in the city of Bruges, brewed at Brouwerij De Halve Maan, one of Belgium's most historic breweries. De Halve Maan has been brewing in the heart of Bruges since 1856, making it one of the last remaining family breweries in the city. Blanche de Bruges represents the brewery's wheat beer tradition, combining centuries of Belgian brewing heritage with a recipe that balances tradition and innovation. As a classic Belgian witbier, Blanche de Bruges is brewed with four different kinds of malt and two aromatic varieties of hop. The beer is infused with coriander and orange peel, giving it the characteristic spiced and citrusy profile associated with the witbier style. It pours a pale golden colour with a thick white head and presents a soft, calm, and elegant character in the glass. With an ABV of around 4.8–5%, it is a refreshing and approachable wheat beer with a spiced finish and a gentle bitter aftertaste. Blanche de Bruges sits alongside other well-known De Halve Maan brands such as Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendrik. The beer has proven versatile enough to inspire a dedicated cocktail guide launched by the brewery in 2021, and it served as the foundation for a new rosé beer variant, Rosé De Bruges, introduced to broaden the brand's appeal to a new generation of beer drinkers.
