This Romanian craft beer from Oriel Beer in Bucharest follows Belgian Quadrupel tradition, brewed with care and aged for over eleven months in bourbon barrels. Vanilla, toffee and caramelised apple greet the nose, while the palate reveals deep plum, blackberry and black currant, layered with toasty caramel notes. The full, warming body carries the bourbon influence through to a lingering finish. A sumptuous barrel-aged expression that rewards contemplation.
