Balance Birthday Blend 2025

Balance Brewing and Blending marks their third anniversary with the release of Birthday Blend 2025, a wild ale blended last year during their anniversary weekend. This traditional release comprises a carefully curated blend of special beers from their barrel store and is described as one of the most complex and funky creations the brewery has ever produced.

The beer sits at 5.50% ABV and is a barrel-aged blend that has developed its characteristic complexity through extended maturation in oak. The blend combines multiple casks to create a deeply layered tasting experience that showcases the brewery's blending expertise.

Tasting Notes

The nose offers honey, floral hop character, dark fruit and raisins with pronounced Brettanomyces notes. On the palate, vanilla, floral hops, citrus zest and dark fruit emerge, supported by the same funky Brett qualities. The finish leaves behind vanilla, floral hops and dark fruit with a lingering, pleasant conclusion.
