Defying Gravity is a bold, juicy double IPA from Cornwall's Mason Brewing Co, created in collaboration with Australian brewery Aether Brewing. This beer marks Mason Brewing Co as one of six UK breweries selected for the inaugural Aus Fest 2026, a new beer and music-led festival celebrating modern independent brewing culture. The virtual international collaboration brings together the creativity and energy of breweries from both the UK and Australia.

At 8.2% ABV, Defying Gravity delivers a full-bodied experience built on Australian hops, showcasing prominent tropical hop character and soft bitterness. The beer is specifically designed to stand out among boundary-pushing releases at the festival, which will feature at three locations: Northern Monk Refectory in Manchester, St Monday Brewery in London, and Moor Beer in Bristol over the coming two months.

On the nose, expect tropical hop and floral notes with tropical fruit character. The palate continues this theme with tropical hop and tropical fruit, balanced by soft bitterness, while the finish delivers clean, lingering bitterness. Limited-edition cans are now available from Mason Brewing Co's taproom and online store, as well as Red Elephant Beer Cellar in Truro for local enthusiasts.
