The brewery carries a rich family history, with roots tied to the Vander Ghinste family and later expanded through the marriage of Omer to Marguerite, which united Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste (Bockor) with Brasserie Le Fort — a milestone that shaped the brewery's identity and portfolio for generations to come. Among its recognised offerings is the VanderGhinste Roodbruin, a West Flanders-style red-brown ale, a traditional style closely associated with the region.
