Brixton Brewery is a craft brewery founded in 2013 in Brixton, south London. Co-founded by Mike Ross and Xochitl Benjamin, the brewery was built around the energy and character of its vibrant neighbourhood, drawing inspiration from the diverse and creative community that defines Brixton. From the outset, the brewery established itself as one of south London's most recognisable beer brands, rooted firmly in its local identity. The brewery is known for producing bold, balanced beers that reflect the spirit of their surroundings. Their portfolio includes a range of craft styles, with the Brixton Reliance Pale Ale standing out as one of their signature brews — a beer that became available on tap through the BLADE system, bringing Brixton's character to bars and homes alike. The beers are crafted to be approachable yet flavourful, combining well-selected hops and malt to deliver consistent, quality results across their range. Brixton Brewery attracted significant attention beyond the craft beer world when Molson Coors acquired a minority stake in November 2017, with the brewery eventually selling the remainder of its majority controlling stake. The brand is also part of the Heineken UK portfolio. Despite these corporate developments, Brixton Brewery built a strong reputation as a beloved south London institution before its independent chapter came to a close.
