FrauGruber Velvet Horizon
Velvet Horizon is a New England-style Pale Ale from FrauGruber Brewing in Gundelfingen, Germany. This dry-hopped ale merges modern hop character with an unexpectedly smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Japanese yuzu is added during fermentation, layering subtle citrus complexity over the BRU-1 and Vic Secret hops.
On the palate, tropical fruit, pineapple and citrus emerge alongside grassy, hoppy backbone. The finish is clean and assertively bitter, with a crisp tingle that lingers. At 5% ABV and silken in texture, this is an approachable ale that balances the refinement of a weissbier with the hop-forward identity FrauGruber has built.
