Rebel Local from Brouwerij 't Verzet sits confidently between English IPA tradition and Belgian brewing character. Founded in 2011 in Anzegem, the brewery selected exclusively Belgian hops to craft this beer, achieving a pure bitterness paired with noble hop aroma. The golden-blonde result opens with spice, citrus and floral notes. On the palate, it begins with classic wheat-beer warmth before the hop character takes command, delivering a sturdy, assertive bitterness. Belgian yeast sweetness provides backbone and depth, but hop bitterness remains the defining voice. At 8.5% ABV with bottle conditioning, Rebel Local offers a full-bodied, characterful experience that reflects the brewery's independent spirit.
