À propos
Tynt Meadow is Britain's only Trappist ale, brewed by Cistercian monks at Mount Saint Bernard Abbey in Leicestershire. Named after the meadow where monastic life was re-established in 1835, the beer draws on centuries of brewing tradition while using distinctly English ingredients—Maris Otter barley, Fuggles and Goldings hops, and water from the abbey's own well. This mahogany-coloured ale undergoes two fermentations, developing layers of dark chocolate, toffee and spice. The palate balances caramel sweetness with notes of raisin and clove, while the finish remains smooth and warming. At 7.4% ABV, it reflects the character and care of its monastic brewers.
