Oak Aged #51
La Trappe Oak Aged #51 is a Quadrupel brewed by Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven within the walls of Koningshoeven Abbey in the Netherlands. This is batch #51 from the Oak Aged series, where each release matures in different wooden vessels. The beer undergoes extended aging in oak barrels for 18 months, creating complex interaction between the strong, fruity base and woody character.
At 11% ABV, this is a full-bodied, indulgent Trappist ale with a warm amber hue. The palate is soft and rounded, with sweet notes amplified by oak maturation. A beer for the true enthusiast, suited to years of cellaring and continued bottle development.
