Störtebeker Braumanufaktur

Störtebeker Braumanufaktur is a brewery based in Stralsund, in the northeastern German region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Drawing on more than 800 years of brewing tradition in the area, the brewery has built a reputation for combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative ideas. Its name pays homage to Klaus Störtebeker, a legendary and notorious German pirate who was active in the Baltic Sea region during the 14th century, giving the brand a distinctive sense of maritime history and pioneering spirit. The brewery's portfolio spans a broad range of beer styles, reflecting both regional heritage and a willingness to experiment. Among its offerings are the Atlantik-Ale, a German Pale Ale at 5.1% ABV, the Bernstein-Weizen, an amber top-fermented wheat beer brewed in classic Bavarian style, a Schwarzbier, a seasonal Lentebock at 6.7% ABV, and a Baltik-Porter. This diversity across lager, wheat beer, ale, and dark beer styles underlines the brewery's ambition to appeal to a wide audience of beer enthusiasts. Störtebeker Braumanufaktur has attracted international attention through collaborations, including a joint project with Charlotte-based Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in the United States. The brewery has also invested significantly in modern bottling technology to meet rising demand. A visitor centre in Stralsund offers guests a direct experience of the brewing process and the local beer culture.
