Brasserie Du Bocq (Deugniet, Blance de Namur, Gauloise)

Brasserie du Bocq is a family-owned Belgian brewery with roots stretching back to 1858, located in Purnode in the Walloon region of Belgium. Founded along the banks of the Bocq river, the brewery has remained in continuous operation for over 160 years, making it one of the more enduring traditional breweries in the country. Its long heritage is reflected in a commitment to classic Belgian brewing methods, with high fermentation playing a central role in its production philosophy. The brewery's portfolio is diverse and deeply rooted in Belgian beer tradition. La Gauloise is the oldest brand still produced at the brewery, available in several versions including a Blonde (6.3% ABV), a Brune (8.1% ABV), and a Double 6 (6.5% ABV). The Gauloise Amber is a Pale Ale at 5.5%, offering aromas of hazelnut, caramel, orange and hop. Blanche de Namur is a refreshing wheat beer known for its slightly tart taste and powdery mouthfeel, and has been recognised as one of the best wheat beers in the world. The Deugniet range extends the portfolio further with seasonal offerings such as a Bockbier for autumn. Brasserie du Bocq also produces lighter accessible beers such as Applebocq (3.1% ABV) and Redbocq (3.4% ABV), demonstrating a range that spans from everyday drinking to complex Belgian styles. With over 40 beers in its lineup, the brewery continues to export widely across Europe.
