Wylie Brewery was founded in 2015 in the coastal town of Sitges, just south of Barcelona, by Scotsman Grahame Wylie and Californian Shane Mains. What began as a small brewpub bringing together craft beer and music lovers has grown into a recognised name in the Spanish and European craft beer scene. The brewery blends the founders' diverse backgrounds into a creative and international brewing philosophy. Wylie Brewery's portfolio spans a wide range of craft beer styles, with a particular passion for hop-forward beers. Their collaborations — such as a Vermont IPA brewed with Barcelona's Olgod Beer Labs, packed with Citra, Azzaca and Mosaic hops — reflect their adventurous approach to brewing. The brewery has also explored darker styles, as seen in their Dark Moves, a beer that earned a Gold medal at the Barcelona Beer Challenge in 2023. From the very start, Wylie Brewery earned recognition by winning Best Rookie Brewery at the Barcelona Beer Festival, signalling a strong debut on the craft beer stage. Their beers have since been winning awards at major festivals across Europe, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting independent breweries to emerge from Catalonia.
