Brouwerij Durs is a craft brewery rooted in the city of Arnhem, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It was founded in 2017 by a group of friends who combined their passion for beer with their love for Arnhem. The name "Durs" carries local meaning, reflecting the brewery's deep connection to its home city. From its early days in the Klarendal neighbourhood, Durs grew into what is widely regarded as the city brewery of Arnhem. More recently, the brewery found a remarkable new home in the historic Sint-Walburgiskerk, a centuries-old church in the heart of Arnhem that now serves as the brewery's base. Within a year and a half of opening, Brouwerij Durs had already developed a solid core range of seven beers. Their portfolio spans a variety of styles, including a strong blonde, saison, blonde ale, and tripel. The brewery is known for its locally inspired approach to brewing, crafting beers that speak to the Arnhem identity and community. One of their notable collaborations is the Airborne Bierpakket, developed together with the Airborne Museum Hartenstein to commemorate wartime history. Brouwerij Durs has established itself as a proud and recognisable name in the Dutch craft beer scene. The brewery was later acquired by Pieter Lok, who also owns Brouwerij De Snor, bringing two local Gelderland beer brands together under one roof.
