A Collaboration with Purpose

Alba Wild is the result of a unique partnership between Stewart Brewing and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. This year, four MSc students brought this beer to life, handling every aspect from recipe development and brewing to branding and launch. Over the past 15 years, this Natural Selection Brewing project has helped launch the careers of brewers and distillers now working at some of the UK's top breweries and distilleries.

Local Botanicals Meet Refreshment

Alba Wild is a Scottish pale ale at 3.9% ABV, inspired by local botanicals and the landscapes surrounding the brewers. The beer delivers bright citrus notes with a subtle floral character. Heather and chamomile bring delicate aromas, while coriander adds a crisp finish – designed for long summer evenings and easy drinking.

Striking Scottish Artistry

The distinctive artwork for Alba Wild was created by Scottish artist KMG, whose work draws inspiration from Celtic folklore and the stories that have shaped Scotland's cultural identity.
