Proper Tipple is an exciting limited-edition IPA born from a collaboration between two breweries on opposite sides of the country: the iconic St Austell Brewery in Cornwall and North London craft brewer Jiddler's Tipple. The concept emerged at Brew London, where Jacob Liddle and St Austell's team conceived the idea of reimagining the popular Proper Job. This partnership has secured a nationwide listing across more than 400 Sainsbury's stores, making it readily available to beer enthusiasts throughout the UK.

Hop Profile and Brewing Approach

Proper Tipple is brewed to 5.5% ABV on a backbone of heritage malts, with Galaxy, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin hops delivering the distinctive character. A new yeast strain creates a crisp, clean, drinkable finish. The hop combination produces vibrant citrus, grapefruit, and gooseberry notes, alongside melon and tropical fruit undertones. The beer maintains the unmistakable core of Proper Job while introducing a modern perspective through bolder hop expression and contemporary brewing techniques.
