Brauhaus Pforzheim is a traditional German brewery located in Pforzheim, Baden-Württemberg, with roots stretching back to 1889. The brewery was established on the site of the former St. George Monastery, on the St. George's Steige, and draws its brewing water from the historic St. George's spring. This long heritage places Brauhaus Pforzheim among the classic regional breweries of southwestern Germany, maintaining a connection to the city of Pforzheim — also known as "Goldstadt" (Gold City) due to its historic jewellery and watchmaking industry. The brewery's portfolio reflects traditional German brewing styles. Their signature Goldstadt Hefeweizen is a classic wheat beer brewed in the Hefeweizen style, and is widely regarded as their flagship beer, having gathered nearly a thousand ratings on Untappd with a solid score of 3.5 out of 5. Alongside the Hefeweizen, Brauhaus Pforzheim also produces the Goldstadt Pilsner, a German-style Pilsener with an ABV of 4.9%, and the 1889 Gründerbier, a Kellerbier or Zwickelbier with an ABV of 5%, named after the brewery's founding year and celebrating its long-standing heritage.
