Koninklijke Brand Bierbrouwerij is one of the oldest and most storied breweries in the Netherlands, located in Wijlre in the southern province of Limburg. Beer has been brewed on this very site since 1757, giving the brewery a heritage spanning more than two and a half centuries. The title 'Koninklijke' (Royal) was granted in 1987, recognising the brewery's exceptional standing in Dutch brewing history. Over the years the company has operated under several names, reflecting changes in ownership and legal structure, before settling as Brand Bierbrouwerij B.V. in 1991.
