Herder Bier is a craft brewery founded in 2018 in Velden, a municipality in the Venlo region of the Dutch province of Limburg. The brewery was established by John Deenen, who spent ten years building up brewing experience before launching his own label. Rooted in the Limburg tradition of regional craft brewing, Herder Bier takes its place among a proud community of independent breweries active in the south of the Netherlands. The brewery focuses on ambachtelijk, handcrafted specialty beers — known in Dutch as speciaalbier.
