Good Land Brewing Co is an independent craft brewery founded by Jimmy Krekelberg and his wife Layla, opening its doors to the public in July 2021. Located in an industrial pocket on the eastern end of Traralgon, in Victoria's Latrobe Valley region of Gippsland, the brewery blends country hospitality with serious production capacity to deliver an authentic local beer experience. Good Land places a strong emphasis on ingredient quality, sourcing malt from small family-owned craft malt facilities to dial in specific grain and malting profiles. Their portfolio spans a wide range of styles, from a New World German-style Pilsner brewed with Australian Enigma hops and cold fermentation, to a Belgian Ale and Chardonnay grape hybrid known as Le Freak Grape Ale, and a West Coast IPA called Kicking Rocks, described as dank yet tropical and malty yet crisp. The taproom pours twelve taps of its own beers. Good Land Brewing Co has already made its mark on the Australian craft beer scene, earning recognition at the 2023 Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards. Their taproom is open on Fridays and weekends, offering a welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike in the heart of Gippsland.
