Dorada is a beer brand originating from Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands. The brand has deep roots in the island's brewing tradition and became one of the most recognizable lager labels in the archipelago. Over time, Dorada was acquired by SABMiller, placing it within one of the world's largest brewing conglomerates alongside other Canarian brand Tropical. Dorada is best known for its pilsner-style lager, a light and refreshing style well suited to the warm climate of the Canary Islands. As part of the SABMiller portfolio, the brewery on Tenerife also produces beers under licence for global brands including Carlsberg, Pilsner Urquell and Guinness.
