De Schans Genenbos is a Belgian craft brewery founded in 2020 by six neighbours from the Edbroekenstraat in Genenbos, a village in Lummen, Limburg. The project has its roots in 2018, when the group came together over a shared passion for beer tasting, which eventually inspired them to start brewing their own. The brewery operates out of Brouwerij Het Nest, a collaborative brewing facility in the region. The brewery brews under the Ed Brukske label and has released beers distributed through specialist retailers such as BeerSelect. One notable release includes a Whisky Barrel Aged beer at 9.5% ABV, described as having honey-like taste and aroma notes, reflecting an adventurous approach to recipe development. The brewery is part of the vibrant Limburg craft beer scene, which continues to grow in recognition across Belgium.
