Brasserie Lupulus is a Belgian family brewery rooted in the small village of Bovigny, in the province of Luxembourg, close to the border with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The brewery was founded in 2004, originally serving the adjacent bistro before growing into a fully-fledged craft operation. In 2007, Pierre Gobron invited his sons Julien and Tim to join forces, cementing the family character that defines the brewery to this day. The name Lupulus is derived from two characteristic elements that reflect both the brewing craft and the local identity of the region. Lupulus has built its reputation on a range of beers firmly rooted in Belgian brewing tradition. Their signature offering is a golden blonde beer that has become closely associated with the brewery's name and the Wallonian landscape surrounding it. Beyond the flagship, the portfolio includes fruit beers such as Lupulus Fructus, a 4.5% fruity ale, demonstrating the brewery's willingness to explore varied styles while maintaining its artisanal character. The beers are crafted with a strong attachment to quality ingredients and traditional techniques. The brewery in Bovigny also welcomes visitors, offering guided tours and a taproom experience set in the scenic Ardennes countryside, just 5 kilometres from the Luxembourg border. Lupulus biers are available through Belgian retail chains including Delhaize, where regional craft beers have seen growing popularity in recent years.
