Brouwerij Katuin is a Dutch craft brewery founded in 2015 by Edo Katuin, based in Amersfoort, in the province of Utrecht. The brewery has an authentic origin story: Edo converted his own barn into a micro-brewery, driven purely by a passion for specialty beer. What started as a personal project grew into a recognised name in the Dutch craft beer scene over the course of a decade of brewing. The brewery focuses on artisanally brewed specialty beers, and its core range consists of six permanent styles: saison, tripel, dubbel, blond, and two additional varieties. The beers are brewed with craftsmanship and attention to traditional styles, resulting in a portfolio that reflects both Belgian-inspired brewing traditions and a distinct personal signature. Flavour profiles range from roasted malt and liquorice to more delicate, characterful interpretations of classic styles. Brouwerij Katuin has attracted attention from the BierKeurGilde, a Dutch beer judging organisation, which has assessed its beers — a mark of recognition within the Dutch specialty beer community. The brewery is also an active participant in regional beer festivals, including the Zeister Streekbierfestival, and its beers can be found on tap at specialty beer bars in and around Amersfoort and Utrecht.
