Gasthaus & Gosebrauerei Bayerischer Bahnhof is a brewery and pub located in Leipzig, Germany, housed in what was once the oldest terminal railway station in the world. The brewery was established around 1999–2000 with a clear mission: to revive the nearly extinct Gose style in its city of origin. Gose is a tart, top-fermented wheat beer brewed with coriander and salt, and it had all but disappeared from Leipzig before Bayerischer Bahnhof brought it back to life. The historic train station setting — which closed as an operational railway terminus in 2001 — gives the brewery a uniquely atmospheric character that draws both beer enthusiasts and history lovers. Bayerischer Bahnhof's portfolio is anchored by its Leipziger Gose, a sour wheat beer noted for being more subtle and balanced than many contemporary craft interpretations of the style.
