Zillertal Bier's Gauder Bock is an annual release, originally brewed exclusively for Tirol's Gauder festival. This pale bock matures for eight months and reaches a full 7.8% ABV. The brewery, based in Zell am Ziller, draws on over 500 years of brewing tradition and sixteen generations of craft. Strong golden in colour, the beer opens with fine malt notes, dried stone fruit and a hint of vanilla on the nose. The palate is wonderfully round and full-bodied, with spicy, hoppy and almost bread-like character. A long finish and substantial body make this a dangerously approachable beer that belies its strength.
