Mr. Cacaotoe is Bird Brewery's debut special release, crafted by Amsterdam-based brewers Rik van den Berg and Ralph van Bemmel, who launched the brewery in 2016. This dark Porter centres on raw cacao, balanced with lactose for smoothness and a thoughtful malt foundation. Despite its 7.5% alcohol and 45 IBU bitterness, it drinks remarkably approachable and easy.
The cacao and lactose soften the edges, creating a well-rounded sipper. Bird Brewery quickly earned recognition for quality beers with character, and Mr. Cacaotoe proves their early ambition.
