Zundert 4 Refterbier is a light Trappist beer brewed by the monks of Maria Toevlucht Abbey specifically for their own refectory use. At just 4% alcohol, it is a refreshing table beer that retains the characteristic herbal spice signature of Zundert. The brewery combines barley malt, rye malt, wheat malt and a small portion of peat-smoked malt, creating subtle smoky undertones. The flavour is well-rounded and full-bodied, balanced by a clean hoppy bitterness. Typical Zundert herbal notes emerge softly in the aftertaste. Bottle-refermented for secondary fermentation, this beer offers a lively, crisp finish that makes it ideal for everyday drinking.
