Störtebeker Stark-Bier is a Doppelbock from Stralsund, brewed according to centuries-old recipes by Störtebeker Braumanufaktur. At 7.5% ABV with an original wort of 18%, this dark brown beer delivers rich, roasted malt character. In the glass, dark mahogany hues emerge beneath a creamy, tawny head. The nose is dominated by roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, with subtle hints of licorice and dark fruit. The palate mirrors this richness: creamy roasted malts and bittersweet chocolate are balanced by a persistent bitter finish that lingers satisfyingly. A soft, velvety mouthfeel makes this beer particularly approachable. A classic of German brewing tradition, produced in Stralsund since 1827.
