Störtebeker Hanse-Porter
Störtebeker Braumanufaktur's Hanse-Porter is an English-style porter brewed in Stralsund, a city that once thrived as a major Hanseatic League port. True to its heritage, the brewery combines traditional malts with British ale yeast to create a beer of surprising depth at just 4% ABV. The result is a full-bodied porter brimming with caramel, roasted grain and chocolate notes.
The nose offers pungent aromas of coffee and roasted malt with a faint dry edge. On the palate, milk chocolate and caramel malts unfold alongside toasty grain character. The finish is gentle yet dry, kept in check by restrained hop bitterness. A remarkably substantial porter in a lower-alcohol package.
