De Maltezer is Maastricht's revived specialty beer, brewed to the original 1954 recipe. Stadsbrouwerij Maastricht, housed in a historic building on the Maas riverbank in Wyck, has restored this Dortmunder Export as a bridge between past and present. This all-malt lager is brewed with four different malt varieties and two aromatic hop types. At 6.5% ABV, De Maltezer balances sweetness and bitterness, with aromas of citrus fruit, freshly baked biscuits and autumn wood notes.
