Brewed in Oettingen, Bavaria since 1731, Oettinger Pils is a straightforward German pilsner made to the Reinheitsgebot: water, malted barley, hops and yeast only. Hallertau hops and regional malt form the foundation. The nose shows grassy and floral character with subtle citrus hints. The palate delivers mild, dry bitterness with grassy spice and a touch of pithy orange. The body is lean and the finish clean and dry. This is an unpretentious, everyday pilsner.
