Kristaps is an imperial stout from Labietis, the pioneering Latvian craft brewery in Riga. Named after the legendary ferryman of Riga, this beer reflects Labietis' mission to blend traditional Latvian brewing heritage with contemporary craft. At 8.5% ABV, Kristaps delivers a dark, full-bodied stout with layered depth. Roasted malt takes centre stage with rich, warming character, while subtle wood notes linger in the background. The beer carries good carbonation and a boozy warmth befitting its strength. Labietis has brewed since 2013 on the grounds of the historic von Stricka brewery, a site with continuous brewing heritage back to the 17th century.
