Th. König Zwickl is a Kellerbier from Duisburg, brewed by König Brauerei, a brewery founded in 1858 by Theodor König. This beer draws inspiration from traditional brewing knowledge König acquired during his travels. It is a full-bodied, approachable lager with a pleasant malty character. In the glass, it presents a slightly hazy amber-gold colour with a white foam head. The aroma shows grain, country bread, and sweet caramel notes, complemented by mountain herbs and fruity accents such as red apple and orange. On the palate, the malty body comes through, with hints of honey and a pleasant balance between malt and subtle bitterness that fades smoothly.
