Yard Arm is Jump Ship Brewing's debut beer, a Scottish brewery founded by Sonja Mitchell dedicated to crafting world-class low-alcohol beer. Brewed as a lager from the outset—no alcohol is removed post-fermentation—this is a beer built for flavour at 0.5% ABV. Crisp and lively, Yard Arm balances biscuity malt with citrus-forward hops. The aroma is clean and light, with grassy notes and subtle sweetness typical of a well-made lager. On the palate, lemon, hay, and biscuit notes emerge, underpinned by gentle hop bitterness that carries through to a dry finish. Light-bodied and refreshing, it's brewed using soft Scottish water and quality British malts, with Styrian Bobek hops adding character and full flavour. A handcrafted beer that proves low alcohol needn't mean low taste.
