Oro Negro from Jackie O's is an ambitious Imperial Stout brewed in Athens, Ohio, featuring walnuts in the grain bill. The beer spent 17 months aging in Bourbon barrels before conditioning on cacao nibs, vanilla beans, habaneros, and cinnamon sticks. The result is a complex, layered stout with deep roasted character, bourbon notes, and subtle spice. In the glass, Oro Negro reveals itself as a rich, full-bodied stout with aromas of bourbon, vanilla, and cinnamon. The palate brings together molasses, nuttiness, and cocoa alongside the warmth of barrel aging. The finish remains dry and structured, never tasting boozy despite its considerable strength.
