Eleven Brewery in Utrecht embarks on a global discovery with this SMASH series. SMASH stands for Single Malt and Single Hop – one malt variety, one hop variety. For edition #3, the team chose Germany as its destination, the land of refined malty beers. This Kölsch is brewed with a single malt and single hop, allowing each ingredient's character to shine through without blending or masking. The result is a smooth, subtle beer that pairs well with light dishes such as salads, poultry and white fish. The SMASH approach makes this beer an educational tasting experience – you taste exactly what one malt and one hop can deliver in a classic German style.
